Ayanda Chisholm is a storyteller, a filmmaker, multidisciplinary artist, and social observer, she sees the cinematic universe as a decentralized and therefore indestructible mode of communicating ideas — a channel to a tangential reality. 

Her work is interested in bypassing dogma and ideology through emotional transference and in making the argument for what belongs in eternal dialogue. Ayanda is passionate about the quiet philosophical questions embedded in everyday life and the unseen forces that shape human experience. 

Her recent credits include her commercial directorial debut for The Real Jerk Legacy. She is currently developing a sci-fi-spiritual odyssey set for production in the near future. 

Ayanda’s latest short screened at the Indie Short Fest, where she received the Best First-Time Director award, and was broadcast on BronxNet Community Television.
